I really enjoyed reading about your work! I couldn’t attend the zoom session, so I apologize if this question was already asked, but what was the language experience of the 8 participants? How long had they been using ProTactile ASL, and what language(s) were they using prior?
Really fascinating project, thank you for sharing!
Thanks Paris! The 8 participants all had been using PTASL daily for a range of 4 to 15 years. Prior to this, they had used visual ASL (n = 4), or a combination of spoken English and home sign systems (n = 4).
